Overview
Students will learn the benefits of using ASP technology to create dynamic, data-driven Web sites. The course introduces the ASP Object Model, several built-in ASP Components, Scripting Objects, and the ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) Model.
Prerequisites
HTML Web Authoring Introduction, JavaScript Introduction or VBScript Introduction and Fundamentals of SQL Querying or equivalent knowledge.

Students needing to transform their static HTML-only Web site into a dynamic, data-driven Web site that accesses databases, uses COM components, dynamically serves information from a variety of sources, and much more.

Active Server Pages Advanced, the second course in this series, uses the concepts and techniques students learned in Active Server Pages Introduction to create a diverse set of Web applications. Along the way students will learn advanced concepts and techniques in Active Server Pages programming.
