Course Overview

This three day course introduces JavaServer Faces to existing Java Programmers.

Objectives

By the end of the course delegates will:

Have built a production quality JSF application
Understand the difference between event-driven JSF and the standard action-oriented MVC model
Be able to use the JSF validation system
Have used third component libraries including Tomahawk and Trinidad
Will recognise the major problems in working with the Event Lifecycle
Be able to use JSF Ajax-aware components

Prerequisites

Some previous knowledge of Java Web Programming will be assumed (ie Servlets/JSP).
For private courses, this course can be combined with elements of the basic Web Development course if delegates are not familiar with servlets and JSP.
