JSF - JavaServer Faces

Course Overview

This three day course introduces JavaServer Faces to existing Java Programmers.

Objectives

By the end of the course delegates will:

  • Have built a production quality JSF application
  • Understand the difference between event-driven JSF and the standard action-oriented MVC model
  • Be able to use the JSF validation system
  • Have used third component libraries including Tomahawk and Trinidad
  • Will recognise the major problems in working with the Event Lifecycle
  • Be able to use JSF Ajax-aware components

Prerequisites

Some previous knowledge of Java Web Programming will be assumed (ie Servlets/JSP).
For private courses, this course can be combined with elements of the basic Web Development course if delegates are not familiar with servlets and JSP.
