Course Overview

The course is designed with a balance of hands-on practical exercises, demonstrations, reviews and discussions to ensure that a firm grasp is achieved of the concepts and practical skills of InDesign CS5. This foundation course starts with the basics and quickly builds confidence and skills in navigating the application and using tools to create single and multiple page layouts. Original layouts are created from scratch and techniques using frames, typography, colour, styles, graphics and tables are practiced.

You will utilise Adobe InDesign CS5 to create and deliver distinguished and impressive printed documents.

Target student

This course is valuable for delegates with no or little experience of InDesign CS5 (or have used earlier versions of the program) and wish to gain a good working knowledge from a 2 day course. The course is suitable for most situations where professional page layout skills are required.

Prerequisites

Before taking this course, students should be familiar with the basic functions of their computer's operating system, such as creating folders, launching programs, and working with windows.
